my prints + knees on leaves

In fun, i made this on August 30, 2013 at 8:24 am

I am so happy to announce a few of my prints will be up for sale on Katie O’Dare’s wildly popular website, kneesonleave.com!  Katie is such an inspiration and I’m so lucky to have her in Orlando!  Our hang out sessions usually consist of a few cocktails, a notepad to jot down our ideas, and tons of creative flow –  I like to think we keep each other balanced with any design dilemmas  we run in to!

atrium

In Waldo's Garden on August 8, 2013 at 5:43 pm

Like any other 26 year old I keep begging my parents for an atrium at the house!   Waldo’s Secret Garden is in the midst of some neat renovations and while an atrium isn’t quite in the cards yet – I knew if I showed my Mother this plant wall she would go bananas and I was right!  This living wall we spotted while wandering Winter Park in Prato is definitely in the works for the fall weddings at the Garden!   Can’t wait to get started for the special days ahead!

Rifle

In Ain't my art on December 10, 2012 at 8:19 pm

Rifle Paper Co. had another sidewalk sale so i popped in praying i could get this exclusive LA print for my abode.  Sadly, they had already been purchased!  But it’s right over here at Urbanic Paper Boutique.  I was able to get a ton of stationary from the sale!  Below are a few of my favorites.

I sent my Brother some mail today.  Pictures of me.  I know, I know – I’m too sweet.  This stationary is my all time favorite!  I love sending it out because it’s like a little piece of artwork.

the weekend

In decorative arts, i made this on November 5, 2012 at 4:13 pm

I drove back to Vero Beach for the weekend to moonlight as a photographer for the Decorative Arts Apparel & My Family.  The Decorative Arts shoot  took place in the old diesel plant in Vero Beach, Florida (photos below).  We had this idea for chic design in an industrial setting and we nailed it!  Taking photos proved to be a lot of fun.  I’m not a photographer by any means – in fact, I was borrowing cameras left and right all weekend!   I like to think I can imitate what I see and what I like pretty well.   These shoots made me realize I need a serious camera   (sorry iphone!)

some days / style 04

In i made this on October 27, 2012 at 3:33 pm

Thursday was such a bad day that I was sitting in another school’s office looking to transfer out of the web design program at UCF.  I like to think I was just being proactive in case this semester did not pan out like I had hoped.    I sent angry texts and emails letting a few people know how upset I was and that I’d tried my best but I was going to transfer into an easier / different program somewhere else.  I’m pretty impulsive.   Anyway, it ended up not being the case.  You just have to keep chugging along and believing in yourself  (plus surround yourself with people that believe in you!) .  by 5Pm I had settled down and then Friday came and my worries were  gone and  I had a little pep in my step once again. It just goes to show ya  “Some days are just simply better than others”.

Here’s a jam up song if you’re feeling in a funk like i was

the shoot

In Waldo's Garden on September 20, 2012 at 4:56 pm

The styled shoot I was shamelessly talking about for the past two weeks went live on Monday and I just wanted to be able to post it here too!  This is the Treehouse/Waldo’s Garden venue(in case you’re new here).  I’m very partial to the property because it’s where I grew up and I was so happy Vitalic was able to capture this unique area so naturally!  I can’t wait to be able to send future brides all these shots so they can see the endless possibilities we did.

waldo’s secret garden

In i made this, Waldo's Garden on September 16, 2012 at 8:59 pm

I ran home over the weekend to assist with a photo-shoot on the property with Vitalic Photographers and although the photos should go live very soon I had to share my favorite that I took with my iPhone with a little editing in instagram and mobile photoshop.  Dreamy, right?
