After spending the weekend on the boat in Jupiter, this bright & summery print just created itself in less than 10 minutes –  Love when that happens!  I’m obsessed with these colors and that font !  It’s Just an all around fun print for any home that has cool peeps occupying it!

hello annie!

In fun, i made this on April 16, 2014 at 8:16 pm

Annie… where do I begin?  We have been talking about making clothes out of my patterns via instagram comments and when I finally got the drive to do it I contacted her immediately.  Don’t you love how social media can bring people together?  I love Annie’s style and she has the most adorable ETSY site where she sells her clothing line WRARE .  I may abuse my privileges here because I am so excited for her to make a slew of cute clothes to wear!

I started sewing by hand and eventually bought my first Singer sewing machine. Purchased a mannequin and would make myself dresses, skirts, and tops. I worked 2 jobs and would come home from one, make myself an outfit for the next, and then come home from work and sew some more. Then I had a wedding to plan…and I obviously wanted to make my dress. After making my hand stitched 75+ yards of tulle and silk gown, I took a hiatus. And by hiatus I mean I got pregnant and the babe stole ALL of my creativity. I wanted to make my unborn baby girl SO many things, but I was at a mental BLOCK! Soon after she was born I made her a little dress, followed by headbands, and it just went from there. I am forever learning new tricks and traits along with managing sewing everything myself with a toddler running rampant in my sewing room/play room. Its tough, but I think because I am a Mother, I feel more motivated. That is my story. I hope you enjoy my items and much as I do.

Dave & Cindy kind of day

In dave & cindy, i made this on February 6, 2014 at 4:42 pm

A few weeks ago I took photos of David Busch and Cindy O’Dare for their radio show (and personal archives!).  I love working with these two because creatively, we are all on the same page – anything goes!  We all just showed up with bags of costumes.   I like to think of them as the modern day Rock Hudson and Doris Day.  Here are some of my favorite photos from the day!

flower obsession

Getting ready for another photo shoot and with spring in the air and all that jazz  –  flowers are definitely going to be my main attraction also this song inspired me – I’m imagining flower explosions everywhere!  Thank God my Mother is a florist so everything is easily accessible!

A few amazing things happened between December & January!  I was so honored when the Editor of Portfolio Magazine approached me for a feature! Check out the full magazine here!  Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company also featured me on their Facebook which was equally honoring and so sweet of them to share my citrus inspired prints (second photo).  Then one final one I found about last night was that one of my favorite sites Inspired By This featured one of my prints on their instagram a few weeks ago!  The beauty of pinterest! (last photo)!  I have to say Thank you so much for all of these people following and supporting my artwork –  it really motivates me to keep charging forward with all my design work!

I woke up Monday sick as a dog and have been horizontal since but today I finally got to go through my inbox and I received an e-mail from this awesome photographer and I am going bananas over her work!   Meet Kaitlin Rebesco!  I love her minimalistic spin on the prints!  Very crisp & clean!  Take a look for yourself and visit her ETSY store as well to see her other inspiring work!

I recently deleted my ETSY account with my prints because I am trying to get new product photos, a new website etc.    In the meantime I was browsing ETSY – their product photos are something serious these days!  Check out these amazing products and photography!  Those constellation coasters are just dreamy.
