spring is in the air

In i made this on February 6, 2014 at 4:42 pm

Is it time to wear bright, fun clothing yet?  Spring is my favorite time of the year!  Not like it’s been incredibly cold in Florida but, ya know.

shotguns & seashells

In fun on February 6, 2014 at 4:41 pm

Meet Chandler!  She’s the new proud owner of a very cute blog Shotguns & Seashells!  I’m obsessed with the name and all the elegant fashion tips!  Country chic & yachtical all at the same time – I wouldn’t expect anything less from this gal and I’m excited to team up for some fun collaborations soon!

A little bit about Chandler

I was literally raised on the coast of somewhere beautiful, and decided to go off to school in the South for a little change of scenery. I’m a Fashion Retail Major at the University of Alabama and have a love affair with clothes and arm candy. I’m a horse obsessed, nail polish crazed, and cowboy boot loving kind of girl. And that is how I became Shotguns and Seashells. Roll Tide.

candy crush

In i made this on September 11, 2013 at 1:20 pm

A few months ago I got sucked in to playing candy crush and it kind of consumed my life ( and some of my friend’s lives).  Hanging out at dinner, cocktail hour or a stop light consisted of me sliding in a few more games and not paying attention to pretty much anything, listening to anyone, or looking people in the eyes.  I’m not a gamer  but whatever – I needed something to distract my mind for a few bit.  Anyway, i deleted it … I miss it … and I created this to keep from downloading it again.  so long to crushing’ candy.

back porch nights

In i made this on September 5, 2013 at 7:55 am

Florida nights are getting a tad cooler – by Florida standards, that is!  But then again, back porch nights are amazing whether smouldering hot, luke warm, or freezing cold.  Here’s just a few of my favorite things to have in arms reach while I’m cocktailing.   Although, that Oscar de la Renta kaftan is not actually in my closet!

this song would be a good listening choice too

my prints + knees on leaves

In fun, i made this on August 30, 2013 at 8:24 am

I am so happy to announce a few of my prints will be up for sale on Katie O’Dare’s wildly popular website, kneesonleave.com!  Katie is such an inspiration and I’m so lucky to have her in Orlando!  Our hang out sessions usually consist of a few cocktails, a notepad to jot down our ideas, and tons of creative flow –  I like to think we keep each other balanced with any design dilemmas  we run in to!

meet Jenny!

In fun, i made this on August 26, 2013 at 2:07 pm

Jenny is one of my very best friends since 9th grade! We had a fun photo shoot over the weekend all over Orlando!   Jenny is an amazing artist (paintings below) like every birthday or holiday I’m usually begging her to paint something for me but Jenny left behind the artist lifestyle and got her bachelors at UF and Masters at UCF landing her an amazing job in a defense company!  I still wish we could be streets performers together beating bongos and over using “namaste” but alas … she’s still a talented beaut!

from the farm

In food ideas on August 22, 2013 at 11:16 am

I look forward to waking up every morning lately because I make a little coffee and then start making my newest obsession – baked eggs!  I looked up a ton of recipes but I just started tossing some ingredients that I had readily available into the dish and bam it’s the most delightful meal and I am not a breakfast person at all … usually I like chicken noodle soup or possibly spaghetti in the am.

eggpost

2 eggs| handful of sliced tomatoes | handful of spinach | sliced turkey ( if extra hungry!) | goat cheese | salt n peppa |

what I did: sautéed the spinach and tomato in olive oil  & then tossed in all the ingredients cooked 12-15 min at 450
