I recently deleted my ETSY account with my prints because I am trying to get new product photos, a new website etc. In the meantime I was browsing ETSY – their product photos are something serious these days! Check out these amazing products and photography! Those constellation coasters are just dreamy.

I am so lucky to be surrounded by such talent in Orlando! Yesterday Katie and I went for a drive and took amazing photos for her company Knees on Leaves! Katie’s micro ecosystems have, in my opinion, revolutionized earthy jewels and brought our necks closer to nature. A passion for Mid Century Design inspired Katie to create one of a kind terrarium necklaces. Her inspiration stems from nature, all things beautiful as well as chaotic and imperfect! Katie’s products have been featured all over the web (here & here) , sold all over the world, and has accumulated over 7,000 followers on instagram. Hop over to her website and getcha self somethin’ great!

After receiving several emails inquiring about blogging platforms, I thought I would create a post for bloggers discussing the subject. While I highly suggest hiring a designer to create your own custom design, I realize that isn’t always in everyone’s budget from the get go, so I’m writing this from the perspective of template usage. The first thing you will need to do is decide which service you’d like to use for publishing. While there are many out there, the two that I always recommend are SquareSpace and WordPress ( self-hosted ). Their ease of use and support are what make them winners in my book, but I’ll dive more into them both below.
While I personally use WordPress, let’s start with SquareSpace ( SS ). Because if I hadn’t already paid for 2 years of hosting, I think I would switch over to SS sooner than later. You see, the thing that has always captured my attention with SS is their beautiful user interface. It’s much easier on the eyes and as a designer, I’ve definitely taken notice. Plus, they have several meticulously well designed templates that you can choose from and customize ( drag + drop style ), all of which do not require any HTML/CSS knowledge. A definite plus for beginners! Ultimately, you would receive a free domain name, an easily editable template, and a very secure website. It’s an all inclusive package that will leave you worry free.

I was without a car for a tiny bit of the weekend which forced me to clean & work, work, work (because you won’t see me walking anywhere in Orlando). Friday night without a car I found myself sobbing on the phone to my Mom proclaiming “… and I don’t even have a car and all I want is a bottle of wine!” She quickly reminded my pathetic excuse of a proclamation that it would literally be done the next day. Le sigh – I just worked on website landing pages & made these pretty new prints for a wholesale order I received a few weeks ago! They are the newest ones I’ve created and I’m super duper happy with them!

Florida nights are getting a tad cooler – by Florida standards, that is! But then again, back porch nights are amazing whether smouldering hot, luke warm, or freezing cold. Here’s just a few of my favorite things to have in arms reach while I’m cocktailing. Although, that Oscar de la Renta kaftan is not actually in my closet!

I am so happy to announce a few of my prints will be up for sale on Katie O’Dare’s wildly popular website, kneesonleave.com! Katie is such an inspiration and I’m so lucky to have her in Orlando! Our hang out sessions usually consist of a few cocktails, a notepad to jot down our ideas, and tons of creative flow – I like to think we keep each other balanced with any design dilemmas we run in to!

Jenny is one of my very best friends since 9th grade! We had a fun photo shoot over the weekend all over Orlando! Jenny is an amazing artist (paintings below) like every birthday or holiday I’m usually begging her to paint something for me but Jenny left behind the artist lifestyle and got her bachelors at UF and Masters at UCF landing her an amazing job in a defense company! I still wish we could be streets performers together beating bongos and over using “namaste” but alas … she’s still a talented beaut!

Like any other 26 year old I keep begging my parents for an atrium at the house! Waldo’s Secret Garden is in the midst of some neat renovations and while an atrium isn’t quite in the cards yet – I knew if I showed my Mother this plant wall she would go bananas and I was right! This living wall we spotted while wandering Winter Park in Prato is definitely in the works for the fall weddings at the Garden! Can’t wait to get started for the special days ahead!
Hi! thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a web design student at the moment moonlighting as a graphic designer. I'm blogging as fast as I'm learning things. I post pictures i like, new tricks I learn, photography and all that other jazz. I try to create most of my own posts and I will label them if the design was by me... although sometimes others inspire me too - but don't fret! I give credit where credit is due and if you use something from my design bubble here - I hope you do too.
