I’m constantly trying to stay on top of my diet and i do with the help of my favorite eating plan(that’s me on the front page with the bad posture!) I’m not one of those people who can just “eat a small salad every meal” my genetics literally want me to be a line backer – like I wake up craving left over spaghetti and tenderloin with a side of KFC’s chicken bucket. I lucked out being 5’8 because all the men in my family are 6’5 and above.
Anyway, lately I’ve not been able to choke down the oatmeal I’m supposed to be eating every morning so I threw together a little spinach smoothie as a substitute! It’s super tasty and equally as healthy plus I wake up looking forward to it! Here are the directions:
ingredients:
one package truvia
one healthy for life french vanilla protein
2 strawberries
handful of spinach
1/3 cup of uncooked oats
1 cup silk pure almond milk unsweetened
not rocket science – toss it all into the blender with some ice – blend/liquify and pair it with an egg white!
if you don’t have a protein package apparently you can substitute a greek yogurt but I’ve yet to try that one!
great post! this would be an awesome breakfast for a pregnant or nursing mama too.
You’re totes right Kristen! I’ve incorporated spinach in every meal i eat now! I love it – I was reading the benefits of it which are amazing – unless it’s completely poisoned with pesticides then it was just like “death upon you”
good recipe! I make shakes all the time and I like to do spinach, soy milk, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 banana, 1 handful of blueberries and rasberries. very good and healthy! 🙂
