I feel like I’ve been lacking in creativity lately. Well, maybe not lacking but it’s definitely on a hiatus – hidden for a bit until I finish a bunch of other work – but in the meantime, I tried to get the creative juices flowing so I sauntered over to etsy… it worked! It always works! Check out these lovely finds I may need to make mine!
I finally got to use my new camera over the break! We had a photo shoot for some new lines that came into Decorative Arts Apparel so we found an amazing piece of property owned by Jann Jerkins and her husbamd! It was so beautiful and sprinkle of great expectations ambiance which was such a dreamboat! We had champagne and a grand time! The girls were so beautiful! It was just an overall great day!

Had the pleasure of meeting Chad this weekend at my cousins wedding! It was a whirlwind weekend – we had a wedding at the Garden & I was in my cousin’s wedding down the road. I’m all kinds of wedding’d out to say the least! Anyway, I got to chatting with Mr. Ainsworth and I really dug his style and personality! I wanted to feature him on the blog and lucky for the ladies he is offering a special deal!

I was researching online and came across this articleon readership and it inspired me write a little blog on mistakes! I make them often and it’s embarrassing but I know I will continue to make them throughout my career! My mind is racing all day long between freelance, school and Waldo’s Secret Garden! I wish I could say I stop and concentrate on one project but I usually have 20 tabs open multi-tasking like a mad man! Anyways, there’s a specific publication in Vero Beach that I had issues with for months maybe even a full year (yikes)! I’m talking like I got e-mails multiple times a day “ Charlotte this is still wrong”, ” Charlotte you’re not doing it right” Charlotte Charlotte Charlotte! ha! My fault the whole time I was saving a file wrong but finally about two months ago it occurred to me that I needed to speak to the graphic designer on their team because from what I knew I was doing everything right on my end. Situation is fixed now, they just needed a different file type (simple!) but still when I think back on it I cringe! I was about to give up doing the AD just on the mere fact that I was worried these people thought I had flutter nutter for brains!
lesson learned: Speak with their designer(s) first and make sure you understand their requirements before you start creating!
I’ve made a few save the dates this year for fun and for friends! but I wanted to wait until they were mailed out so I didn’t spoil the surprise! Welp, here they are! Contact me if you’re interested in a fun save the date!
We had Easter Sunday at the Garden all to ourselves and I cherished every moment! We ate and played and had fun with the babies! Makes me remember how truly blessed we all really are!
I have been honored to create the Downtown Friday Poster for the past 3 months! I am so passionate about Downtown Vero Beach and I want it to flourish – which it has in the recent years. My favorite establishments downtown just so happen to be : (for shopping) Decorative Arts, (for cocktails) The Grove & The Stamp, (cuban coffee) Sunny Days, and (Sushi) Kata! So pop over this Friday and see what the new downtown is all about!
Exposed brick is just the cat’s meow. Here’s a few extra shots from the Decorative Arts Apparel Shoot to show ya! Just a few candid ones I grabbed while everyone was being themselves!
New Print! Not yet up at The ETSY store but it will be at Decorative Arts in about a week! You can pre order if you just have to have this little darling. Just e-mail me : charlotteanabar@gmail.com
Yesterday was probably the most fun I’ve had in quite a while! Linda Roberts over at Lime in the Coconut brought us all together for a very fun photoshoot at her magical abode. Once you take a look at her blog and eyeball the pictures below – you’ll see why magazines offer her space in their publication and why companies offer her their products! Literally wine was waiting for us at each end of the house so if you forgot your glass you just grabbed a new one – things like that make me happy I had to proclaim I do some of my best work half drunk. Which is questionable. The spanish guitar seemed as if it followed us! Just a very amazing atmosphere. I’ll shut up now, k?
Hi! thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a web design student at the moment moonlighting as a graphic designer. I'm blogging as fast as I'm learning things. I post pictures i like, new tricks I learn, photography and all that other jazz. I try to create most of my own posts and I will label them if the design was by me... although sometimes others inspire me too - but don't fret! I give credit where credit is due and if you use something from my design bubble here - I hope you do too.
