In pinterest project on May 31, 2012 at 12:45 pmom nom nom. Zat was a treat if I’ve ever had one. I was going through my pinterest recipe board to try to start-up the ole’ project and found this grilled shrimp and avocado salad. Problem was, it’s merely a picture on FlickR. Yeah I was all Like “what the Hecker-doodle am I supposed to do with a picture?” So here’s what I did using my instincts and asking my brother how I make that circular shape – the answer was so simple I’m embarrassed I had to ask.
disclaimer: I was using no real measuring techniques just trying to replicate what I saw
|| sautéed the shrimp in olive oil & Chef Paul Prudhomme’s blackened fish magic
|| cut up 1 avocado & chopped 1 tomato
|| smashed some of the avocado to use as a concatention, if you will
|| put the avocado and tomatoes in a measuring cup, pat down and then carefully flip over
||made a light dressing: minced garlic, olive oil, agave syrup, salt & peppa, and squeezed half a lemon in it

In fun, ideas on May 29, 2012 at 8:04 amYa know what I love to do when I can’t really justify buying one more thing? THIS! Throwing it in my virtual shopping cart and putting it into an adobe program. it’s almost as good as actually purchasing it! Oh and at times, when things are a tad too expensive I’ll just resort to iTunes and buy a new song instead of a thousand dollar chandelier. Yeah, smart trade-off.
But seriously, how amazing are these rosenberry room chandys? Those are some serious matters of the heart.

I get so jealous for some reason when I see these types of pictures BUT they also give me a tiny boost of happiness – which I need lately! I feel like I’ve been in such a design slump. Maybe its school ands seeing such amazing things being created at Mama’s Sauce that makes me feel like I have no idea what I’m doing – hmm thought bubbles that I really hope come to a screeching halt soon. Good vibes welcomed…

In family, fun, things, Waldo's Garden on May 24, 2012 at 9:07 pmI’m so happy to introduce Miss Sarah Jane Rozman to ze blog! Sarah’s illustrations have always caught my eye and she obliged when I asked her if she would contribute to the blog which made me oh so happy! You’ll love her drawings! She is studying illustration. We spoke briefly before we both came to UCF and actually met at orientation yet we never run into each other on campus! Anyway, we are both from a seaside town so I thought this little number was rather fitting with the summer sun beaming down on this rather hot Orlando cement.
Which brings me to another point. I do miss Vero Beach during the summa time.

In food ideas, pinterest project, Waldo's Garden, work on May 22, 2012 at 5:00 pmI’m so in the mood to go gung-ho on an awesome project. I’m working on my own project for a little “thank you box of favorites” for choosing Waldo’s Secret Garden as an event venue because isn’t it just really nice to be appreciated? Duh. I’m slowly but surely accumulating little things so bear with me until I get the sample box done.
